Maura-Mallorca-6019.jpg

My name is Maura, and I’m a certified yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and personal trainer based in Luxembourg, with over 2,200 hours of training.

I help you build strength, flexibility, and confidence through science-based yoga, functional movement, and mindful practice. My approach is designed for modern lifestyles—supporting physical health, reducing pain, and making movement accessible, effective, and enjoyable.

As a yoga therapist, I also offer personalized support, adapting practices for specific health conditions, injuries, or chronic concerns. By combining movement, breathwork, and therapeutic techniques, I help you manage symptoms and feel more at ease in your body.

I teach functional, science-based yoga built for real life—not perfect poses. Whether your goal is to build strength, improve mobility, or relieve back pain, you’ll learn how to move in ways that support your body long-term.

Simple. Effective. Sustainable.

My approach blends yoga tradition with modern science, informed by physiotherapy, neurology, and current research in anatomy and movement—ensuring a safe, well-rounded practice that meets you where you are.

ABOUT ME

What is "Yoga for the Real World"?

It’s about reshaping how we approach yoga today.

Making the physical yoga practice accessible to our modern bodies and lifestyles.

In the Western world, yoga is often misunderstood

either reduced to fancy poses like splits and handstands

or dismissed as slow and boring.

But yoga is so much more than that.

YOGA FOR THE REAL WORLD

Why "Yoga for the Real World"?

Because the world is evolving—and yoga should too.

Our modern lives look very different from those of yogis 100 years ago. We spend hours sitting at desks, staring at screens, and juggling packed schedules. These habits affect more than just our posture—they influence our focus, stress levels, and overall well-being.

We don’t move like people did centuries ago.
Back then, the focus was often on holding poses for long durations to transcend the physical body and dive into deep meditation. Asana—the physical aspect of yoga—was originally just a way to prepare the body for stillness.

But in today’s fast-paced world, that traditional approach can feel out of reach. The practice needs to adapt to us—not the other way around.

Unlike the yogis of the past, we now have access to modern science. Research in biomechanics and movement can help us apply yoga more effectively—not just as a path to stillness, but as a practical tool for navigating everyday life.
