about
Hi, I am Maura (she/her/elle)
a yoga and movement teacher and a yoga therapist in the making, passionate about making yoga fun, accessible, and empowering.
In my classes and workshops, I share my joy for movement and support you in building a healthy, sustainable practice—one that helps you feel better in both body and mind.
I incorporate science and neuroscience (often called “brain yoga”) and bring a modern, research-informed approach to every class. With a strong focus on anatomy-based yoga backed by the latest insights in movement science and biomechanics, my teaching is both mindful and grounded.
I strive to create a welcoming and supportive space where everyone can thrive, feel encouraged, and grow—both on and off the mat.
YOGA IS AN ONGOING JOURNEY OF EXPLORATION
I'm deeply committed to the lifelong journey of growth, dedicating my time to studying and practicing yoga. Beyond yoga, I enjoy spending time on my paddleboard, exploring social media, creating content, and organizing events.
Yoga has always been a significant part of my life, and now more than ever, I feel a strong calling to fully embrace my dreams and passion by stepping into the role of a full-time teacher. My curiosity and love for the fusion of music and yoga led me to discover Inside Flow, a heart-touching and modern style that combines music, fluid movement, and breath into creative, flowing sequences. Inspired by this approach, I completed my teacher training at Inside Yoga and have since pursued advanced training in Inside Flow, Therapeutic Yoga, Personal Training, Thai Yoga Massage, and Anatomy immersions. In the past four years, I've had the opportunity to teach yoga at festivals and workshops across Europe and Asia.

Additionally, I've had the privilege of assisting my mentors and teachers during teacher training programs. In my teachings, I emphasize a scientific approach by focusing on human anatomy, ensuring that each movement aligns with the body’s natural mechanics. This allows students to build strength and flexibility while preventing injury, enhancing both their practice and understanding of how their body functions.
Passionate about science and deeply fascinated by neuroscience, I am currently studying with Z-Health. My focus is on understanding the roots of pain in our bodies and exploring the connection between the brain and pain. This knowledge empowers me to better support students in connecting with their bodies, addressing pain, and enhancing their overall well-being

MY JOURNEY TO HEALING THROUGH YOGA
What started as a way to calm down and relax has evolved into something much deeper for me—yoga became a path of healing. But the transformation didn’t just happen through the physical practice itself. Teaching yoga and sharing my vulnerable, authentic self allowed me to open up in new ways. It inspired me to speak openly about my mental health and personal struggles in the hopes of encouraging others to do the same.
For years, I avoided confronting my emotions. I turned to heavy drinking and other forms of consumption as a way to escape, constantly searching for something outside of myself to fill the void. I didn’t know how to cope or express what I was feeling. Even today, I continue to work through these challenges, often swinging from one extreme to another—whether it was harming myself, excessive drinking, drugs, or even overworking and pushing my body too hard through excessive practice.

I’ve learned that the only way to truly heal is to face these struggles head-on. Meditation, especially active meditation, has been a powerful tool in helping me gain clarity and reconnect with myself. Yoga helps me feel grounded in my body, and I love the endless journey of growth that it offers.
One of the most profound parts of my healing journey has been through Inside Flow. This unique style uses breath and movement to express emotions, going far beyond just physical postures. Each time I step on the mat, I’m stripped of the layers I hide behind, and I come face to face with my true self. Inside Flow touches my heart, leaves me feeling raw, and helps me let go of what no longer serves me. Through this practice, I’ve come to know myself better and feel the closest version of who I truly am.
Yoga empowers me, and now I’m passionate about sharing this practice with others. My goal is to empower and inspire others to heal and grow, just as yoga is doing for me. Let’s move, breathe, and heal together.
